Does he not have to pay the taxes in Italy and why can he still use his 401k, when he lives in Italy?

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

There's pros and con's when living on a house boat. Anyone thinking of doing this may try renting first, or spending a weekend or a few on a sleeper boat to get an idea on what its like to live on the water. She is not discussing storms, cold weather, smells associated with water/docks, noisy neighbors, boats coming and going, sometimes issues with power, water, sewer systems provided by dock services, etc.

Ok, we'll give gringos the same kind of respect most mexicans get in the United States when going there. What a double moral and hypocrisy this is starting by the term "expat" so let's get straight for a moment and call it gringo immigrant as it is in reality. Most newcomers don't even bother to learn Spanish but they want mexicans to learn English. Also they behave like they are making mexicans a favor by coming to Mexico when is actually the opposite as they make everything more expensive in the places they visit. To me they are just people looking for cheaper and better lifestyles regardless of the problems they create by doing that.

Most of these people are not doing FIRE. It's a misnomer. it's more like FIDOS = Financial Independence Do Other Stuff.

I wish I had an inheritance and a family member to give me $25,000. Everyone could afford a house or a houseboat with that. The majority of people do not get handouts from family members to pay for their first home.

This couple's housing and utilities and groceries is almost all of our fixed monthly budget as a couple living in the UK and we're on a way higher salary than them, in a way higher cost of living location. 🤯Suspect they're in for a reality check if they want to retire early on that type of monthly expenditure, specially if they eliminate the Portugal golden visa which could very well happen by that time.

Great story. I got my start in the Air Force and transitioned into another government agency for a total of 35 years at 55. I could have been fully retired but I went to work at a state college for another 10 years. None of it would have happened if it had not been for my military service. Aim High! USAF
